Fume Hood

FebriTherm Hot Air Oven has been designed to protect personnel and environment from heat and  toxic chemical fumes by taking 100% contaminated air from the hood’ operational area to the environment through suitable leak proof duct. The operator is protected by providing the workstation at negative pressure. This Fume Hood offers operator protection from heat or chemical carcinogens. The hood is kept under negative pressure by pulling the contaminated air/aerosol from the hood and exhausting the same through suitable leak proof duct to the open. The exhaust line/duct is advised to connect with fumes scrubber system to ensure complete safety to the open environment.

The hood cabinet is fabricated out of M.S./S.S. – sheet. The inside walls of the hood cabinet is made of a S.S. /M.S. with FRP coated sheet with minimum possible joints to avoid any leakage. Moreover, the necessary joints are wielded properly and if required, appropriate sealant is applied on all joints. 6/16 Amp power sockets with suitable switches are fitted on the front side panel of the hood to operate any external equipment inside the hood. Suitable and compatible motors with blower, dynamically balanced are provided to ensure 100% exhaust from the hood. Blower and motor assembly is placed outside the room to minimize noise level in the room. The

work station is illuminated by tubes/LED bulbs, fitted to the unit. The front is equipped with sliding toughened glass/polycarbonate sheet door. The door is fitted with the mechanism that it stays at a position where it is left for the operator convenient. Gas inlet along with regulating valve is also fitted in the hood to use gas from  external cylinder inside the hood. A sink, equipped with water tap and drain outlet is fitted inside the hood.

A heavy platform made of pipe and sheet with granite top is also supplied to place the external equipment on it. A chemical storage cabinet is also provided under the platform to store various chemicals, glass-wares and other equipment. To work on 220/440 volts AC single/three phase supply.

A fumes scrubber with built in motor pump to re-circulate the scrubbing fluid inside the scrubber tank is also provided, if opted to ensure non-contaminated fumes exhaust to the environment.
